A 4 year old girl is brought to the ED by her parents. She was playing in the garden when she stood on a nail. She is sent from triage to X-ray by the nurse practitioner. The nail goes through the sole of her shoes and is apparently in the foot. She is in moderate pain and is given Brufen and Calpol in triage.
